“I’m crazy enough to dream big”

These words were stated by Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, the first ever Chief Innovation Officer of the Government of Sierra Leone, who boldly defended the vision for transforming Sierra Leone into a technical and innovation hub to a group of CEOs at a recent Breakfast Club meeting in Freetown.
As I reflected on these words, I realized that I am also crazy enough to dream big. Then I realized that in Africa we need CEOs who are crazy enough to dream big and pursue great big visions that scare themselves and inspire others.
Dreaming big is what put a man on the moon. Dreaming big is what created Apple, AirBnB, Uber, and Amazon. Dreaming big is what will create the next generation of Made-in-Africa Multinational Companies that will become household names for the next generation of African workers.
